There are three ways for you to get involved in the ministry in Liberia.
First, you can pray. Pray for strength and health for the missionaries and pastors here in Liberia who are preaching the Word of God without compromise and standing for the truth. Paul tells us in Ephesians 6:12—“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” And in verses 18-20 he says we should be “praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, ... that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.” (For more specific requests, click here.)
Second, you can give. We recently lost some support due to the COVID crisis, so we are praying for additional partners to pick up the difference. Also, our work with the pastors and churches constantly puts us in touch with a multitude of needs—our Bible schools and clinic, church buildings, special ministry opportunities, physical needs, etc. and it is a blessing to them (and us) if we can help with those projects.
To give online, click here and then use the menu under “FUND” to choose “3. Missionary Support.” In the menu under “SUB FUND” choose “Sheppard, Mark Richard, 706065.” Enter the amount you wish to give. Push “ADD DONATION.” Choose whether you want to use your Credit Card or Bank Account. After entering your payment information, fill out your name and address and then push “Submit” at the bottom of the page. Use the “Note” box to specify the project for the gift.
You may also mail gifts to the following address. Mark the gift “for the ministry of Mark Sheppard” (and any other designation for special projects).
Note: it is Baptist Mid-Missions’ policy to apply donations 100% as designated to all approved missionaries and projects.
Finally, you can personally participate in the harvest. Click here to be taken to BMM’s “opportunities” webpage to find out more information on mission trips and becoming a short term or career missionary.
Thank you, and God bless!
